We are going to make project called
“SmartRoom”. It’ll be two sensors – light sensor and temperature sensor.
They’ll be connecting to Arduino at first, and later, maybe, to cheaper
microcontroller. We’ll use ZigBee wireless
networking protocol and XBee radios for sending data from Arduino to computer.
We’ll write Java application, which
will work with ZigBee protocol and receive data from Arduino. Also Java
application will create Web page, where user will see current temperature in
necessary room and information about light (turned on or turned off).

Интересный проект, но я бы добавил обратную связь. Полезно не только наблюдать температуру, но и при желании регулировать их. Как приятно зимним морозным вечером возвращаясь домой создать комфортную температуру к Вашему приходу включив нагревательный прибор, а возможно и отрегулировав его мощность.
